On the road that connects Forio to the village of Panza, you will find a flight of stairs that leads you to the Chiesa di San Francesco Saverio. The church dates from 1742, and it is worth a visit, if you find yourself walking by. Set up in the front of the church, there is what looks like the setting for a precepe, which I imagine is complete around the holiday season.

The church houses a beautiful, 17th-century crucifix, by an unknown author.

That night, we were treated to another glorious sunset, after which we went down to dinner.

Our meal consisted of bruschetta, mussels, and a pumpkin soup, followed by tripe and gelato, to finish it all off. Of course, we had to have one last glass of wine at the hotel bar, before calling it a night!

Next up: We begin our third day in Forio, with a walk along the coastline!
