






As we walked, we stumbled upon the Giardino Comunitario Lea Garofalo, at Viale Montello, #3. This is a community garden dedicated to Lea Garofalo, a young woman who, while acting as a witness of justice, was tortured and killed by the organized, criminal syndicate known as the ‘Ndrangheta, in 2009.




City Life is a relatively new district of the city of Milan. Built on the old fair grounds of the Fiera di Milano, the vast project is comprised of apartment buildings, shops, cafés, restaurants, cinemas, as well as offices, and tons of park area. We took advantage of our location in the northern part of the city, and explored a bit of it!

















That night, we headed over to Alcatraz, a club and music venue, to see a concert by the Italian artist, Diodato. It was a great way to end our stay in Milan!
