The Casa Rodari is at Via Giuseppe Mazzini, #56. It is the house where the celebrated writer, Gianni Rodari, was born in 1920. Famous for his children’s fantasy books, Rodari was the first Italian to win the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, in 1970.
Even though it was looking more and more like rain, we decided to take a stroll along the lake (at least, one side of it), and see how far we could get, before the downpour began.
The Monumento agli Alpini del Cusio is at Lungo Lago Buozzi, #20. The monument honors the members of the Alpini, an elite division of mountain soldiers, from the Cusio area.
