Forio – Day 5 – Part 1 – The Giardini Ravino

Advertisements

Day 5 was another beautiful day, with lots of sun shining down on us.  So, after a good breakfast, we decided to head out and visit the Giardini Ravino, which was located on the same street as our hotel, about a twenty-minute walk away.

The Giardini Ravino can be found at Via Provinciale Panza.  It is one of the largest succulent plant collections in Europe!  The garden is made up of cacti and succulents, from all over the world.  The collection was started by Giuseppe D’Ambra, a sailor who brought back seeds from wherever he traveled, in the 1960s.

Next up: We continue to explore the Giardini Ravino!
